AI transparency
We sometimes use AI-assisted tools (for example, ChatGPT or similar services) as a writing, research, and organization assistant. These tools help draft outlines, refine wording, or explore ways to explain complex topics more clearly.
What AI does not do
- AI is not a clinician, therapist, or educator. It does not examine your child, review medical records, or replace qualified professionals.
- AI can make mistakes. It can sound confident while being wrong, outdated, or overly generic.
What we do
- We review and verify content before publication where we can, and we ground articles in our lived experience as caregiver parents and in sources we believe are reputable. You should still verify important information and rely on experts for decisions about health, therapy, and education.
- Examples and prompts we mention (for example, how we asked an AI to summarize a concept) are illustrative only and may be edited for clarity or privacy.
Your responsibility
Use this site as one input among many—not as a single authority. When in doubt, ask a qualified professional who knows your situation.
