You’re not alone
If you’re here, you’ve probably noticed something that doesn’t feel right.
Maybe your child isn’t speaking yet… or not responding… or just feels different.
We were here too.
Common signs we noticed in Ekansh
- Not responding to name consistently
- No speech
- Avoids eye contact
- Repeats words like “quack quack quack” (as in the duck sound)
- Doesn’t point or show things
- Seems in his own world at times
- If he needs something, he would drag us there
Having one or two of these doesn’t mean anything is wrong. Pattern matters.
What you should do next (don’t wait)
-
Book a developmental pediatrician
Don’t wait for “they’ll grow out of it.”
-
Start speech stimulation at home
- Talk more
- Reduce passive screen time
-
Avoid over-reassurance from relatives
“Boys speak late” delayed us.
-
Start early intervention if advised
- Speech therapy
- Occupational therapy
- Applied behaviour analysis (ABA)
Starting early made more difference than anything else.
What not to do
- Don’t wait 6–12 months “just to see”
- Don’t compare with cousins
- Don’t rely on YouTube remedies
- Don’t ignore your instinct
If you are worried, that itself is enough reason to act.
A different path
This is not the end of anything. It’s just a different path. And you don’t have to walk it alone.
